Former Nhl Player And Coach Departs After Four Losing Seasons

Dallas Eakins' Coaching Career Comes to an End in Anaheim

Former NHL Player and Coach Departs After Four Losing Seasons

Eakins' Time with the Ducks Unmarked by Success

After four consecutive losing seasons, the Anaheim Ducks have announced that they will not be renewing the contract of head coach Dallas Eakins. Eakins, a former NHL player and coach, took over the Ducks in 2019 but has failed to turn the team's fortunes around.

In his four seasons with the Ducks, Eakins compiled a record of 116-139-35, including a 29-41-12 mark this season. The Ducks have not made the playoffs since Eakins took over, and they have finished last in the Pacific Division each of the past two seasons.

Eakins' departure is not a surprise, as the Ducks have been one of the worst teams in the NHL during his tenure. The team has struggled to score goals and has been plagued by injuries. Eakins has also been criticized for his coaching style, which some have said is too rigid and inflexible.

With Eakins gone, the Ducks will now begin the search for a new head coach. The team is hoping to find a coach who can help them turn things around and get back into the playoffs.
